Hero.....!!!

A long, long time ago Latvians had their hero, called 'Lachplesis'. He saved my country from the evil spirits and witches. The most interesting things about him was that he had bear ears and all his strength and ability to hear the nation's pain, happiness, and sorrow. When he was a kid he killed a bear ripping its jaws apart with his hands. After that he was chosen to be a hero by gods and he had to fight against Estonian army.

The 11th of November is Lachplesis Day. On this day Latvians commemorate not the end of the World War I(as in many other countries), but the victory over evil spirits and Estonian army.

From my point of view he is a hero because, he saved my country(legend says that) and I have to be proud of him because without him there may not be Latvia.

Swine Flu

Many of us have heard the news about Swine Flu and it harms people around the world. But what exactly is swine flu and and why it impacts me so much, that will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

Last four weeks has been terrifying for me and many more people. Swine flu came unexpectedly and has frightened many people. What concerns me most is that we don't have a vaccine to stop it. The only thing what we CAN do is to eat more fruit&veg to built our immune system and of course use a tissue when sneezing.

Altough people say that Swine flu isn't a big thing to worry about ,but it does worry me.
There are many cases when the end is fatal and I don't want to be one of them. In addition I think we should be more careful , wash our hands regulary and if you feel unwell go to doctor for check up.
